Learn the different ways to keep your Svantek SV 803 powered. This article covers how to replace the internal battery, use AC power through internal or external ports, and where to get help for solar panel setup and continuous operation.
- Change the Internal Battery
- Open the flap located on the top of the 803
- Unscrew the two lock screws located on the top
- Open the lid
- Press the Battery Exchange button (Wait until the light to the left turns Green or turns off)
- Unscrew the two thumb screws holding the battery down
- Pull the battery out with the two black straps
- Put the charged battery in and repeat the process

AC Charge with External Power/ External Interface
- Based on the wire provided, connect the blue tip end of the AC connector to the External Power (Right connector) or the External Interface (Left connector) connector on the SV 803
- The External Interface uses a USB charger, while the External Power port is designed for an AC power connector.
Using the External Interface will result in a slower charge, as it functions as a trickle charger.

- Be sure to match the dot from the connector to the dot on the SV 803
- Connect the other end to an AC Power source
- The unit will begin charging and/or running off the external power automatically.
- Verify that the device is receiving power (check the indicator LED, SvanNet, or the Assistant Pro app for the power status)
- Leave the device connected for continuous operation, or unplug once fully charged
