Hot Swap Steps
1 Unlock the unit by turning the key clockwise and twisting the knob counterclockwise.
2 Turn off the unit by twisting the knob to the off position.
3 Unscrew the bolt holding the digital cable in place.
4 Gently pull down the digital cable connector.
5 Gently pull the power connector.
6 Gently separate the Heater Core cable.
(The wires are very fragile.)
7 Twist counterclockwise to remove the Sampler and the Purge hose.
8 Using the long philips screwdriver, unscrew the three bolts holding the Nephelometer in place.
9 - One on the top left
- Two on the bottom left and right
10 Pull the stem off the top of the tube.
11 Twist the gray nut on top counterclockwise.
12 Remove the plastic washer.
13 Use the flat-head screwdriver to remove the acorn nut.
14 Pull the stem up from the Nephelometer.
15 Slide the Nephelometer to the right and then pull.
16 Carefully open the box containing the new Nephelometer and remove the pink plastic cover.
17 Place the new Nephelometer in the same location as the old Nephelometer.
18 Screw the Nephelometer in place.
19 Slide the tube in the Nephelometer. Guide the bottom of the Nephelometer before pushing down the tube
20 Press down the acorn nut, then place the plastic washer on top of the nut. Then, securely screw the gray nut in clockwise.
21 Reattach the TSP inlet to the top of the inlet tube. If a sharp-cut cyclone is present, ensure it is properly seated too.
22 Reconnect the heater wire.
23 Tuck the hose into the bracket.
24 To reconnect the Sampler and Purge hoses, first pre-twist the tubes counterclockwise. Then, twist them clockwise onto the connector joint for a secure fit.
25 Match the label on the tube with the label on the Pump module.
26 Connect the power cable.
27 Reconnect the data cable and re-screw the screw.
28 Turn the unit on. Close the door and lock the knob.
29 You are now ready to monitor!
