      DeltaLink Setup

      1. Prepare the Topcon Total Station attached to the Delta Link:
        1. Level the Total Station by lining up the display screen on the Total Station between two screws on the bottom of the unit and with the laser lining up with the third screw

        2. Using the left thumb rule(the bubble moves in the direction of the left thumb)with the two screws lined up with the display screen, slowly turn them towards or away from each other to move the bubble to the center
        3. Slowly turn the screw lined up with the laser to raise the bubble up and into the center circle (NOTE:  Don’t move the Topcon after leveling or you will have to start over)
      2. Configure the Total Station:
        1. Log into the DeltaLink using any of the methods shown in step #17 above
        2. Click DELTALOG
        3. Click CONNECT to start the Total Station
          1. The red light (Off) should change to green (On)
          2. Status should change to Ok
          3. Activity should change to Idle
        4. Enter a name for the Total Station in the Station ID box (NOTE:  A name is necessary before setting up a measuring schedule and the Bubble Reading boxes won’t populate without one)
        5. Check the checkbox for Laser On to turn on the laser
        6. Place a prism within view of the Total Station
        7. Click ADD; Click EDIT; Enter a name in the Name field; Click OK
        8. Turn the Total Station so that the laser is pointing at the center of the prism and click TEACH and the Total Station will now remember where the prism is
        9. Repeat steps #6 through #8 to configure additional prisms
        10. Highlight the name of one of the prisms created with steps #6 through #9 above (which now appear on the list); Click TURN TO and the Total Station will turn the laser to that prism
        11. Set a measurement schedule on the Station Active tab
        12. Test settings by clicking RUN ONCE to run through the measurements one time
