Introduction

• Eric Boucher and Chris Garcia from Specto Technology introduce the video on setting up AC Mate with MicroMate and modem.

Setting Up the Hardware

1. Power Adapters:
   • Plug in the power adapters for the modem and MicroMate.
   • MicroMate's power adapter is a mini USB that goes into the right side.
2. Communication Cable:
   • Connect the DB9 communication USB to serial cable to the back of the modem and MicroMate.
   • Tighten the screws on the connectors.
3. USB Cable:
   • Connect the USB cable to the top left of the MicroMate.
4. Antenna Cable:
   • Connect the antenna cable from the back of the case to the top antenna connection on the modem.
5. Power Up:
   • Plug the AC Mate power cord into the wall outlet.
   • Verify that the green indicator light on the GFCI outlet is on.

Sensor Installation

1. Geophone:
   • Chris removes the geophone from the case using an adjustable wrench.
   • Sets aside the nut and washer for later installation.
   • Slides the geophone through the 3/8 bolts on the floor mount anchor.
   • The Specto logo and arrow should face away during floor mount installation.
2. Microphone:
   • Adjusts the microphone tripod to be at least three feet off the ground.
   • Connects the red connector of the microphone cable to the port labeled "MIC" on the side of the case.
   • Ensures the label "microphone" on the red connector faces up.
   • Tightens the collar without twisting the connector.
3. Geophone Cable:
   • Connects the geophone cable to the port labeled "GEO" on the side of the case.
   • Tightens the collar without twisting the connector.

Verification

1. Sensor Check:
   • Presses the "Sensor Check" button on the MicroMate.
   • Verifies that the results are "Pass" for both the microphone and geophone.
